Sion’s personal mission is to empower Hispanic women by creating sustainable, for-profit, social enterprises. The first company Sion co-founded, a US direct sales company, quickly grew to over 30,000 active independent salespeople nationwide, almost all of them Hispanic women. After selling it, Sion founded his current business TISSINI. 

Now his second national platform company focused on offering US Hispanic women the opportunity to earn extra income via a simple direct sales model, TISSINI has received multiple industry accolades. Explaining his mission, Sion says, “I am convinced that by empowering women, they, in turn advance their families and improve our society.” 

Under Sion’s leadership, TISSINI was ranked the 10th fastest growing retail business in the US by Inc. He has also received a “Making a Difference” award from Harvard Business School for his commitment to and leadership of social impact initiatives. In 2019, he also became an “Endeavor Entrepreneur” to continue his focus on globally minded, long-term economic growth through mentoring and fellowship. 

Sion arrived to the US from Colombia in 1992 at the age of 16. He holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering and completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program. 

An avid athlete, Sion enjoys swimming, kite surfing, and scuba diving. He lives in Miami with his wife and their three young children.
